Two silly TV-related studies
Why do people keep coming up with these silly studies, don’t they have something better to do? And if not, can’t they at least make the same nonsense research in a proper way?!
- Teenagers who have a television in their bedrooms are more likely
to use marijuana, smoke and have sex. I guess I’m a prime example of how accurate this research is. not. Or then again, maybe TV just totally reversed its effects sometime during the last 10 years. Tracing the cause would make a wonderful next research project, or a Ph.D. thesis for someone…
- A study reveals that college students watch an average of three
hours, 41 minutes of television each day. Sure. No doubt. I’ve finished university myself a year ago. Most of my friends study, or recently finished studying, in a university or college. And I assure you, nobody came close to 4 hours of TV per day. Not only that, but most of the other students I met around campus, whether living alone, at home, or at the dorms, didn’t come close to so many viewing hours.
